Over the holiday break I treated myself to a new drawing tablet: a Wacom Bamboo. I have been using it to work with Pencil and Inkscape and am really enjoying it. I have not had much experience with Inkscape thus far, so it has been quite challenging to learn both a new hardware tool (the stylus and tablet) and also the software.
I have found the online manual to be really good for this particular piece of FLOSS. It is easily accessible from Inkscape’s Help menu: Help > Inkscape Manual is all you need to go to this online book. And, yes, it is an actual book with the title Inkscape: Guide to a Vector Drawing Program by Tavmjong Bah. It can be ordered in hard-copy, downloaded as a .pdf file, or viewed online. I have been using the online manual extensively and find it to be very well-written and easy to navigate. There is a handy, hyperlinked glossary of useful terms and many step by step example drawings to create as you use the manual.
