I love this idea!
Municipal (‘gemeente”) elections are on Wednesday this coming week across the Netherlands. Here in The Hague the municipality has decided to throw a party called Verkiezingsnâch downtown on Tuesday night.
There is free music (including my local fav Prins S. en De Geit) on the Grote Markt, hosted by the nâchburgemeester van Den Haag Lotte Ottevanger, and then at midnight voting opens….at PAARD! Sharpen those little red pencils and get ready to vote!
